State Apportionment for Partnerships
TIERS calculates state allocation and apportionment, nonresident filing assignments, taxes due, and payment tracking in the same project datasets used for federal and international reporting. Federal and state reporting comes from the same unified sources, tied to the same entities, items, attributes, investors, and filings, remaining synchronized as project data changes.
How it runs
Users configure jurisdictions, factor attributes, apportionment data, state modifications, tax rates, nonresident filing assignments, payments, and elections inside the same TIERS project. During calculation, TIERS computes apportionment, state source taxable income, nonresident taxes due, and payment or credit allocations alongside federal and international allocations. State outputs remain connected to the entities, items, attributes, investors, and filings that drive the rest of the engagement.
What it transforms
Separate state workpapers, manual factor tables, and late-stage SALT reconciliations become an integrated state reporting workflow. Teams reduce the risk of state results drifting from federal allocations, keep multi-state partnership data reviewable, and avoid rebuilding apportionment logic outside the production calculation.
